We met 10 years ago in the Spring of 2004 while working together at Bally’s Total Fitness. Abby was working in the nursery and Mat was a personal trainer. However we did not date or go out until later that summer when we met up through mutual friends. Not long after we went on our first date, which lasted some 12 hours! That date was followed by a series of dates. Soon after we knew we were meant for each other (date #3 for Mat) and we started making our wedding plans!
Our Engagement:
We were engaged on Sunday December 12th. Abby came home to her apartment where Baylor (her black lab puppy) and Mat had a surprise waiting for her. After the big question and some tears, Abby said yes and the rest as they say is history.
The Wedding:
We were married on Friday September 9th, 2005 at St. Johns Episcopal Cathedral in Denver, Colorado. A great day with family and friends to celebrate our new life together. We had so much fun during the wedding ceremony and the ensuing reception at the Walnut Foundry. Followed by an amazing honeymoon to Paris, France (Thanks Len & Linda Jepson and Veryl & Jan Berry our wonderful and loving parents).

Wedded Bliss:
We have been married 8 great years and look forward to starting our family.
Abby has many interests and pursues them vigorously. Amongst them are many races for the Cure (Susan G. Koman), pottery, reading, yoga, painting and of course her passion for food (creating, cooking and most importantly tasting). Her passion for painting has led her to an ongoing project to create the alphabet and numbers for our nursery.
Mat enjoys many of the same interests with his wife. He cherishes being Abby’s Sous Chef in the kitchen and number one food taster. Other interests include sports, chiefly among them is his passion for rugby. He plays for Queen City Rugby. He also is an avid follower of Arsenal football in the English premiership. Other interest are reading, working out, and anything with his wife.
Work:
Abby enjoys her work as a Nanny and Household manager with a private family in Denver. G is now six years old and keeps her on her toes.
Mat works for the state of Colorado in the Disability Determination Services department.
